Aunt and Uncle
(smoking meat)Just sharing a picture of my uncle Robert and aunt Patty. My cousins posted it on Facebook since they don’t have accounts. They were the ones who taught me so much about Native life. I miss them.
My sister got to see my aunt in Toronto because their granddaughter was getting a major surgery.
I was kind of jealous. I am lonely for them and wish it was next year already so I could see them again. It has been years since I have seen Aunt Patty. Uncle came down just before dad passed away.
We talk on the phone often. I lived with them for several months and that bond is still there like they are my second parents.
Uncle promised to take my husband hunting if he ever goes up around hunting season. But I think it might be more like fishing season when we go. I hope my husband would fall in love with Canada. I want to move back so terrible bad.
Is there anywhere in the world you miss?

I miss old places i’ve lived but have no inclination to go back because everybody i knew there is gone. And when i think about it that seems unbearably sad.
@ascultafili - sorry its sad for you. It might be sad for me too when I go back eventually. Things change so much when a person leaves it seems.
Hugs to you. I hope you get to see them soon.
You look like your Aunt and yes, I miss going way out in the sticks at Lake Quinault to see all of the natural waterfalls. The land is all commerical now and costs an arm and a leg to see. It is all for tourists now and bir motels and ledges are where the woods and rain forest used to be.
I still live in the state I was born in, just a different town. I do miss living in Hershey. It was nicer there. More than anything, I have a desire to move. Pennsylvania will always be my home, but I actually want to move to South Carolina and be closer to where my dad’s family was originally from.
