Biking
So Yesterday My husband and I embarked on a new hobby, biking.
He found a nice bike at a garage sale and I have one my sister had and couldn't move with her. Hubby took them to a bike shop to get them in perfect working order.
I have no rode a bike in years. I was 17 I think last time I rode a bike I am not sure if it was even that recent.
It was glorious! The wind on my face whistling past my ears, It made me feel young again.I had so much fun and it was an exercise!
We rode through the neighborhood since I want to just go easy for now. I felt kind of uneasy with riding too far since my legs soon felt like Jello. I did about a mile and a half then came home. I have not been walking so much since my knee surgery so I wussed out sooner than my husband. He went on for another 4 miles without me.
I am sure I will be going at least 3 times a week. I want to get into shape enough to ride around to the grocery store, park, doctors, and etc.

I never had a bike my entire life. So riding is never thought of.

If your legs don't give up usually your behind will start to protest and you will need a softer seat.
I have ridden a bike for a long time. I have ridden about a hundred miles at one time (SB to LA) and promise myself never again.
Sometimes I am forced to ride on the street and have to dodge car doors. Other times I get off my bike and walk when there are pedestrians on the sidewalk. Some bike paths want you to walk across signaled intersections.

So cool. I am thinking about buying a basketball. There is nobody using the nearby basketball court during evening and my brother and I love playing basketball.
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - too bad you live soooooooo far away. I have a basketball net and ball no one uses at my house.
Oh well. But Maybe I should throw some baskets too/ LOL

@PPhilip - Yeah i bought a new seat the other day. I don't do traffic ...yet. HAHA
@Ikwa - That's so cool. Local Elementary school has basketball court on which we can play and it's just outside my building as well. All I need is a basketball lol.

riding bicycles is so much fun. i still have fond memories of riding a 10 speed all over the town i grew up in before i got my driver's license. too bad most of us give it up when we learn to drive vehicles.
