Baby Mocs
I got out my needle and thread and made my new baby niece a pair of felt moccasins.

I think they turned out so cute!
But the best was getting to hold my new niece this weekend.

Aaron is just like his momma. Loves babies.
Made me really sad at first that I cannot have another myself and told my husband. But then watching how tired her mom looked I recanted. Yep I will wait for grandbabies I guess and the other babies that may come into my arms through family. I could sleep all night, shower and eat dinner without a crying baby. I was kind of glad all over again not to have one.
Well just big ones called Leif and Aaron LOL.

Those are cute
The baby moccasins are adorable. I totally agree about not missing the parts about little babies and being able to sleep through the night and such.
Those little moccasins are adorable!
Oh yes, it is a 25 hour job. I love looking at babies but I remember what I went through when I had mine.
Great pic of Aaron and that tiny little baby. so sweet. About occassionally thinking of having another baby and then recanting. I’ve thought similar thoughts.
cute little mocs!!
I hope the pattern you used for mocasin fit. Since the baby doesn’t walk you don’t need to make them more durable.
I suppose you are planning just to be a great auntie right now. I think maybe it will be quite a few years before you become a grandma.
Aww! How adorable!
@Shining_Garnet - @KarensPotpourri2 - @CuddlyKat - @fredsyankeegal - Thank you!
@risingsunacademy - YES It was nice to hand her back to mom and go snooze all night
@angys_coco - My last one had colic too. it reminded me when she had a crying fit for an hour.
Poor baby.
@PPhilip - Yeah why I used felt. I need to make some for my own kids out of leather.
@Crystalinne - Yep
@Ikwa - I am thinking some of the soft shoe leathers used might be kangaroo leather. Real leather requires leather sewing equiptment because it is so hard to penetrate that material. (you might decide to cheat by getting a leather hole punching equiptment.)
@PPhilip - I use a leather needle and a thimble to push it through. My Family in the north never used machines and do all leather mukluks by hand. It isn’t too bad. I like using Moose hide since it can get very soft if home-tanned. My Aunt did home tanning and those kinds of leather can get very expensive so I use doe leather. But I like the idea of using thick felt for babies. They don’t walk, like you said!
Sweet baby and such cute baby mocs. I am 64 and I can not figure out what is wrong with these women my age and older who want to have babies, and do have babies. My God I would be to exhausted. I enjoyed my grandbabies and now great grand babies.
